Es una de las grandes regiones de Marruecos que ha conquistado la industria agroalimentaria y la agricultura de regadío en las llanuras.

En diciembre pasado, una compañía de su propietario, empresario, especulador de bienes raíces que vive en Rabat había devastado sus tierras, se convirtió en propietaria de 107 hectáreas de tierras de pequeños agricultores Ouled Ayad, a un precio de 3 dirhams.
